I was born in Gondal India.  My maiden name was Santokbai Rajabali Mohamed Lalani. My mothers name was Tejubai.

In 1925 I married a young and dashing man, Mohamed Javer Lakhani, from Ngong, Kenya, East Africa, where we raised our family of 9 boys and 6 girls.

I moved to Canada in 1982 to live  with my youngest son and daughter in law, Mumtazali (Ali) and Gulanar (Anar).
